About the Test Server

This server is for interoperability testing of the Host Identity Protocol (HIP). HIP is a protocol under development within the IETF; for more information about HIP, please visit the resources page. The Boeing implementation is GPL licensed, running on Linux, Windows XP, and Mac OS X, supporting both IPv4 and IPv6. Starting in 2005, the software is now maintained by the OpenHIP project and hosted on SourceForge.

Using this server, you can test interoperability with the OpenHIP implementation. Traffic to port 8000 is only allowed through an encrypted HIP security association established with this server. See the testing page for more details.
