    The user-mode version (Windows/Linux) has been updated, and some DNS support was added, see downloads. Due to a kernel bug, IPv6 testing may not be operational at the moment.

    For interoperability, ESP_TRANSFORM is now 4095 instead of 2048. This change has been made when testing with this server, and in the tarball from the downloads section.

    Windows binary versions added to the downloads and Ethereal pages. The Windows installer simplifies HIP for Windows setup and doesn't require you to install Cygwin.

    Version 3.3 released, featuring Linux and Windows support, and user-mode HIP (UMH) that runs entirely in Linux user-space (no need to patch your kernel). This version supports base-03, esp-00, and mm-02 draft versions and was interoperability tested at IETF 63 with Ericsson and InfraHIP. Please visit the downloads page.

    Version 3.1 of the Boeing HIP Linux implementation is now available, please visit the downloads page.
    New in this version is support for RSA Host Identities, support for all cryptographic transforms, a 2.6.9 kernel patch, an Ethereal 0.10.7 patch, and fixes from IETF 61 interoperability testing with HIPL.

    The HIP Linux kernel patch has been updated to fix locking for SMP systems. Visit the download page to get the latest tarball. Also, a Windows binary version of Ethereal compiled with the HIP patch is available from the ethereal page, along with a sample HIP capture file.
